Last night I died. Clayton, the beautiful boy, died while protecting his last friend during the final battle of the campaign. Clayton was a half nordic barbarian who grew up in the swamp with his mother and only friend for most of his life. Upon his mothers death, Clayton ventured into the town that his mother used to tell stories about. Clayton was an outsider, 6 and a half feet tall, 230 pounds, scars covering his face, no shirt only fur pants, and he spoke in the third person. This was Clayton's first time in a town and he wanted to make friends. Clayton did manage to make three friends and know someone who shot him with an arrow. However, a terrible curse was set off and the town was fall apart with no way out. Clayton and his party searched the town and fought off terrible demons and monsters to collect ingredients to reverse the curse. Two of his companions died during the search. One being his best friend, who had given up her life to save Clayton. With all the ingredients in hand the cleric of the party cut her wrist and let her blood (which was the final ingredient) pour over the other ingredients as she chanted the spell to undo the curse. The party had to protect her for ten rounds, if we failed the town would be doomed forever. Clayton and his friends, some new some old,  fought to protect the cleric. The ranger was grappled and dragged into the darkness where he lost his life. The wizard met the same fate as the ranger. The clerics father lost his head...to a demon. All that was left was Clayton, ten monsters, and a cleric and one round left. Clayton was taking most of the damage for the cleric but he was grappled, in his final moments he freed one arm and released an ever smoking potion to hide the cleric in smoke. The final round ended, the cleric was lifted into the air and just before she lost her life she saw Clayton fall to the floor dead. He was at -35 health. Clayton's max heath was 84 HP, that night he had lost over 200 HP to protect his friends while he slowly was being healed every so often. He died and saw his friends die. But the town was saved....
